Venezuelan pride ** Guaco**
Gustavo Adolfo Aguado León, Born in Maracaibo, Zulia State on November 3, 1949, since his adolescence began a prolific musical career. He debuted with the Stars of Zulia and at 13 years of age ventures into the Student Gaitero Group Los Guaco del Zulia, which since 1970 begins to be called Los Guacos and today is known simply as Guaco.
His love for avant-garde music leads him to experience new sounds with this group between 1972 and 1979. The influence of Aldemaro Romero with his "Onda Nueva" and great figures of Latin American music would denote evolutionary nuances within his musical proposal, this period would be the warming towards an original and own sound that would be nourished by the strength and cadence of the bagpipes and of a Caribbean musical movement that had given its best fruits since 1975: La Salsa.
Gustavo Aguado is a cuatro player, percussionist performer of the congas or "tumbadoras" and above all: singer, being, for 50 years, the leading voice and image of Guaco. His musical tastes are wide and attracted by Latin percussion, jazz, rock, string instruments and even the "Chimbángueles Sanbeniteros", has managed to consolidate his own style, marked by the influence of Cuban and Spanish groups.
On May 25, 2013, he announced that he would retire from the stage with Guaco, and that he would become part of the music production only.
