Cody Weddle has been Kidnapped by the Venezuelan Government

Cody Weddle, an American news reporter has was taken from his home in Caracas earlier this morning by the Governments "anti-terrorist" forces and is being detained somewhere in Caracas.

This comes as no surprise to many of Venezuelans because it's something the government has done for countless years to many national reporters but lately they have also been taking international reporters as well, just a few days ago they detained Jorge Ramos, a Mexican-American reporter covering the situation in Venezuela and they detained his whole team, stole all his equipment (which hasn't been returned yet and probably won't since the government is just a bunch of thugs used to steal) and after all that and multiple hours of interrogation in a dark room, they where deported from the country.

I wouldn't be impressed if the same happened to Cody when they release him, they will most likely steal his equipment and deport him and any team members from the country... The only governments that attack and deport people trying to inform are those governments that are scared of something going out and they currently have a lot to be scared of.

Hopefully Cody is released soon also I hope he's not deported so that he can continue to bring news about Venezuela to the outside world but he will most likely receive the same treatment Jorge Ramos got last month. When will the situation in the country reach a breaking point? I don't know but I hope this ends peacefully soon so that the country can transition again into a democratic system again and the economy starts to recover so that the people can live a decent life again.
