Venezuela turmoil and unrest

This morning I woke up to the images of violence and sadness coupled with anger and pain.

Venezuela is a country in distress, thousands have taken to the streets to protest the political and economic unrest, and government violence.

This is part of why cryptocurrency is so important.

Throughout the years many countries have gone through political unrest or government intervening in an unjust and self serving way.
The GM plant in Venezuela has been seized by local officials and has been shut down. The gas subsidies have much contributed to the economic turmoil and unrest.

We can help!

I will spare you the multiple horrible images that are spinning the globe today, but they are heart wrenching.

These people are in turmoil though, some cannot even afford to eat enough to join the protests that need to happen.

How can cryptocurrency help

Cryptocurrency has one of the biggest market captures in Venezuela because of the decentralized nature of it. When your fiat currency fails you; you have to use an alternative. It's amazing times we are living in that we have such a resource!

I've tweeted an organizer of a cryptocurrency meetup local in Venezuela and am awaiting his reply.

If contact is not established with him, I will keep seeking out a resource for someone that can help with food or other goods provided by cryptocurrency for the locals. I will be donating all liquid rewards from this post to whomever we can get in contact and would like suggestions if Sebatian doesn't get back with me.

I've created a bitcoin address and ethereum address for donations that will be going directly to a source once established and verified. If you want to donate please let me know and if you have a resource in Venezuela help me connect with them.

Once a contact is established we will get a verified wallet address that funds can be sent too outside of these. Please clearly state on this post if you've sent funds to either of these wallets. If you'd like to donate steem please clearly state that as well and I will convert it to BTC and hold in the address while a contact is verified.

@sebasmagri Hey Sebastian I saw you had a meetup in Venezuela for cryptocurrency. Are you interested in accepting donations for help there?
