CNN struggles to admit the truth about Venezuela

in #venezuela6 years ago

The first step to getting help is admitting you have a problem, but Western journalists struggle to identify the problem in Venezuela.

My heart is saddened by the humanitarian struggle that is going on in Venezuela. People are starving, the country is struggling yet western media struggle to even identify the problem. Normally, I don't screen shot news stories but this needs to be noted for posterities sake.

The first step in solving a problem is to admit you have one. Take a look at the end of the article again.

First, I want to congratulate CNN for taking the time and effort to correct their mistake. They were willing to edit this article to reflect that Venezuela is a communist government.

Now How did they miss this?

How in the world did CNN allow an article to go to press without having the Venezuelan government labeled a socialist government?

Well, let me explain why. But first you need an emotional response. You see that boy in the photo at the top of the news story. He's DEAD! Killed because he couldn't get the medicine he needed. He was killed by COMMUNISM's FAILURE!

Yes, This is why I care! This is why it is important. People are dying!

People are hurting. Every DAY. And we do not hold reporters accountable for the truth?

You see reporters have democratic, socialist, and communist leanings. They are not capitalists. They apparently have not read Adam Smith's Wealth of the Nations.

I studied economics in college, minored in it. I have read a good portion of Adam Smith's Wealth of the Nation's And to be fair I have read the Communist Manifesto as well. I have been following Venezuela's decline closely for years. It is amazing. It is like watching a train wreck in slow motion. It is hard to turn away. The thing is that people do not want to identify the problem in Venezuela. It is simple. It is communism. It didn't work in Russia. It didn't work in Cambodia. It didn't work in North Korea. It didn't work in North Vietnam. It didn't work in China. It doesn't work well in Cuba. It doesn't work in Venezuela.

Now in all truthfulness there are degrees of Communism and Capitalism. Volumes could be written on the degrees how they have been applied and a true liberal will say, "It just hasn't been done 'right' yet."

They will then explain how they want to fix what is wrong.

Let me explain what they are really saying. "I want to be king," "I want to be god," then it will work.

Well. It doesn't.

And the thing is there are consequences to this reasoning and logic. it is the death of people through starvation and lack of supplies.

The free markets are the best way to get supplies where they are needed the most. However, Venezuela through communist policies price controls wealth redistribution and infinite communistic "wisdom" has massively mismanaged the economy and the country.

I could go and on... But I should stop here.

I know what the problem is...

But the news media refuses to report the problem.

Communism is the problem.

They say it is a economic crisis. No... it is not. That is symptom not the cause.

Communism is the problem.

They say it is low oil prices. Yes, it hurts too. Life it tough we all have to deal with that. That is a contributing factor.

Communism is the problem.

All Venezuela needs to do is free up the economy, stop price controls, let unlimited imports and exports happen and stop the endemic corruption. Things will fix themselves.

I found this news article touching and my heart hurt for the people effected. Yet, this will go down in the history books -written by liberals- as "economic mismanagement." Fortunately, for posterity, I wanted to document, just how badly, western reporters are covering the crisis.

Ironically, Venezuelans themselves also lie about the causes. They blame evil capitalist countries -the USA in short- for manipulating food supplies to overthrow the government.

The silver lining...

The ironic good side to this story is that the USA is watching an enemy fall. It was only a few years ago, Chavez flush with oil money was trying to lead South American countries to rise up against the evil American influence in the area. Chavez -could have become a mini-hitler. Maduro -recently names a dictator- does not have the money to cause major international problems. The USA frequently spends lots of money on foreign policy and wars and gets little return on the investment. In this case, all we have to do is tell them to do the right thing, -and they- defiantly do the wrong thing. Venezuelan leaders are shooting themselves in the foot. Their policies are starving there own people. They are causing the downfall of their own country and people are needlessly suffering.

Out of this crisis, the smart people are fleeing the country. About 1 in 30 have left. Many of the best and brightest workers have fled Venezuela for the USA, Spain and Columbia. In Ancient times, countries would need to conquer a nation, then the victor could carry off the best craftsmen and enslave them. Here the USA is trying to help, but our help is refused and the communists drive the capitalists out of the country and in some cases to America, where they help us become better capitalists. It is ironic.

It is really sad.

You reap what you sow.

You get what you deserve.

And many times other people suffer who do no deserve it.

Have you ever seen Karma in action? Have you ever seen a school bully corner a kid and try to punch him. Sometimes, just sometimes, the kid manages to duck and the bully ends up punching a brick wall instead and breaking his hand. It is funny. It is justified and the bully gets what he deserves. The bully should not have been punching the kid, so the fact that he broke is hand is justified.

It is also also justified that every kid in the school has to come up and ask this boy, how he broke his hand. Even when they know the answer. Yes. It is teasing, but it is also an important growing up lesson. This kid needs to learn not to punch people. That said, if CNN reported on the incident, they would likely lead with a headline that said, "School injuries on the rise."

And people wonder why mainstream journalism is on the decline.

CNN, covering the important and most essential news for the betterment of society:

MAAAN THIS IS SO TRUTH THAT IT SCARES ME

Hey, It scare me too. REALY! God has blessed me and I have had the opportunity to travel. At one point I was in Cambodia. Communists took Cambodia and caused a genocide. While you can get the short version of history Khmer Rouge on wikapedia, to really understand it you need to read the books of the people who went through it. Cambodia Year Zero and First They Killed My Father are two that had an impact, on me. This is serious, stuff. Nobody Get It...
