Experience: supermarkets and the "SUNDDE" in Venezuela

in #venezuela7 years ago

In Venezuela these past days have been a phenomenon. The intervention of the government directly in prices with no warning is affecting lots of supermarket or food stores. Today, I went to a supermarket, I had a lot of time without visiting any 'cause I was finishing the semester, I went there for some food to share with some friend in a meeting we had but I couldn't find any in two supermarkets that were absolutely empty.

Most supermarkets look like this. Picture from eldiaonline

Supermarkets have been looted and some have long lines 'cause prices were controlled in some products and this is consequence of our "take advantage" culture of what the government gives us. This has caused supermarkets to not buy new merchandise caused by the fear of regulation.

This experience is bitter for Venezuelans, in a incoming post I'll explain the situation with major detail, by now I'll leave this experience and sorry for no posting recently, see you guys tomorrow.

Among the best such stores, Menards stands out as a leader for many shoppers. Shopping in their brick-and-mortar stores is very convenient, and if you prefer online shopping, there will be no problem with that either. Moreover, if you need advice, you can call menards phone number and they will definitely provide it.
