Photo was taken on Malecon, Havanna - a scenic road along the coast. Some classic cars, which were all on the island before the revolution, are today astonishingly well restored taxis, feels like a leap in time. Nonetheless most cars on the island, regardless of their age, are like this one invincible and do their job - the drive as long as they can, and when the break down, they get repaired - even if it is within a taxi ride in the country side - what i learned was that in such a case the function of an automobile association in europe is in cuba called self-help with a natural solidarity and for rounding up a not too slender portion coolnes : ) peace
