Fake Horse and Real Buggy
Baby You Can Drive My Car
The original Adams County Courthouse was a classic, western brick building that still housed the annual "Haunted House" when we moved here. Every year locals worked together, volunteering their time to improve the grounds. They put some cute decorations around, including this buggy with metal cutout horse and man. The courthouse used to be right behind them. They tore it down last year, sort of leaving the metal gentleman all dressed up with no place to go... but he's got a great rig to get there!

To beef up my post a bit, I am adding a tree photo taken on the last milk run I went on. This one is far enough out in the field that I do not think it has been trimmed, I suspect all that stumpy-looking business is from the wind. Trees here do not have it easy and this one has some battle scars. It is still regal looking, standing there naked against the elements. It should be getting some clothes on soon!
Looks like he has seen better days.
He looks like I feel some days lol! Thanks for stopping by and keeping this rolling!
lol
When you retire, you'll have lots of time to post (Not! I am retired and busier than ever!)
Yeah, I can sort of see that happening... Thanks for finding time to stop by!
Love the country you live in up there. What is your elivation if you don't mind my asking. Great photos! Love the back ground you give on your photos.

We are right at 3250 ft. Thank you, I do not have much time to post but I try to make it worth the effort of a click!
I am still working on getting better with my post. You and your lovely other part work well together, to make great posts. Love the pbotos also.

That wagon is really cool.
There is some great old farm equipment lying around in the fields around here too. One of these days I want to do a post just on that, they are really pretty in their own way.
That would be fantastic. At one time they probably were really pretty...maybe you can find some pics of them when they were new to show the test of time.
That is a good idea I will see if I can find some collectibles to photograph , people collect everything. Thanks for looking.
I can hardly wait to see what you come up with. One of the things I really enjoyed about the series Pawn Stars is when he'd buy a really rusty looking antique and refurbish it back to it's original state.
We have a friend who parked all his father's old equipment along the highway, sort of a drive-by museum. It would be cool to see some of those things restored.
