Hello my dear food loving Steemians!
This evening I wanted to shear with you one of my favorite recipes of vegan cooking. As some maybe know i'm from eastern Europe, Latvia. And because I live close to Russia and other post-soviet country's. We love to eat and stay warm. So the popular food's usually are rich with meat and fat to feel that fullness and warmth in tummy when you have eaten something like that.
But in our case in this recipe there is no animal products but don't worry meat lovers it tastes even better because it's rich in plant based fat's. So enjoy.
Ingrediants:
- Walnut's (Approximately 200 grams/7 oz )
- Coconut oil without flavor or sent ( Approx. 250 grams/ 8.8 oz )
- Garlic powder ( Approx. 1-2.5 tea spoons depends how strong you want)
- Fine salt ( 1-2 tea spoons)
- And a pinch of Love
Preparation:
- Step - Put coconut oil in warm place or in warm water to soften it.
- Step - Grind or crush walnut's but don't make them in powder, but more like bread crumbs.
- Step - Mix together all ingredients, coconut oil, nut's, salt and garlic powder.
And it's ready. Good job my friend. See, it was so easy, now dig in, put it on some bread. In Latvia we love to put it on rye bread but it's OK if you have not heard about that kind of bread it's more popular in some Europe country's.

I'm not opposed to some good old animal lard but that looks really good!
And taste just like real one but better. Thanks for stopping by.
You're welcome, I may try this recipe soon... my sister had to stop her vegan diet but I'm sure she would love something tasty regardless!
Have a try. And why your sister had to stop eating vegan?
I'm not exactly sure why she had to stop... something to do with needing more protein, nutrition can be such a funny thing, what is good really differs from people to people.
She is now a glutten free pescatarian!
