Chicks that live for one day.
I saw an ad for going vegan. It pointed out that when a male chick is born it lives for only one day. This is true. People sort chicks, defective or male chicks are dropped straight into a shredder. However, is it better to live for one day than not at all? Chickens out number us. They exist purely for food. Another vegan ad shows a free and chicken in all of its splendor. However, its not a choice between being free and being food. Its being food or nothing. 🤔
If being food means to suffer and being nothing means not to suffer, imo the choice is an easy one.
You make a good point. However, the point of this ad seemed to me to be doesn't it suck to have such a short life? Like imagine yourself living one day. Not that there is any suffering. I assume there is little to none.
