Vegan Tofu Sour Cream Recipe
For me, the hardest thing to give up is dairy products. I love cheese, sour cream, ice cream, and all the other yummy dairy products, but I also know how bad they are for your health.
However, this recipe makes me not miss sour cream. This really is a great alternative to dairy, as well as commercially available vegan sour cream. Best of all, it's super quick and easy and only requires a blender.
Tofu Sour Cream
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups firm silken tofu
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon canola oil
1 teaspoon brown rice syrup
5 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons cider vinegar
Water as needed
Instructions:
Add all ingredients to your favorite blender and puree until smooth. If too thick, add a small amount of water to the mixture and blend. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
