Our Vegan Dinner Tonight!
One problem a lot of new Vegans have is finding a delicious bread that is dairy and egg free, and easy to find!
I use #DavesKillerBread, it's comparable to Brownberry, but denser, and, of course, cruelty free! All of their products with the exemption of the Honey Oat are vegan!
Tonight we did Tofurkey sandwiches! It had several slices of Hickory Smoked Tofurkey, coconut based Chao "cheese", I can't Believe it's Not Butter Vegan spread, alfalfa sprouts and butter lettuce.
On the side we did chips, these are called Terra and they're made from sweet potatoes and beets. My kids love them, though they have a firm dislike for either of those veggies in other forms, lol!
And for dessert? A sampling of Sparrow's up coming chocolate birthday cake, of course! It was decadent, thank you for asking. 😉
Now, I know what you're thinking. "Where do those poor Vegan kids get their protein?!"
Fear not, random person on the internet!
This meal stacks up a whopping 20 grams of protein, and that's without knowing the value of the cake!
Going Vegan can be reasonably priced, filling, delicious and simple! Maybe start with #meatlessmondays and go from there?
So convincing! I really enjoy your writing style. Looks like a yummy meal!
What a great dinner treat - I am ready to digg in right now yumyumyum
