WILD MUSHROOM SLICE
This is my version of the chicken and mushroom slice, vegan style with holemeal flour. I have had a craving for a decent slice for a While now, so I may as well do it myself.
As always I use my own mushrooms that I picked myself, just a couple handfuls with water and salt.
Once cooked I dry the mushrooms and keep the water for a stock
Then I chop them up finely and fry them with a little oil
Then I crumble up some tofu
Then I add some onions
And some garlic
Then 3 brown mushrooms

To make the sauce nice and creamy I use some flour and plant based milk
Then pour it in
And I let it simmer for a bit
Then to make the dough, about 550g wholemeal flour
150g margarine and a pinch of salt
Mix the two together
Then slowly start adding cold water while mixing
Once mixed into a stiff dough, roll into a ball, wrap it up and store in the fridge for an hour
Once ready cut into six pieces
Roll each piece into a rectangular shape
Place into a shallow bowl
Add some mushroom sauce
Then to fold them
And bake them in the oven for 45 minutes at a medium heat
And there it is, my vegan version of a chicken and mushroom slice
Very nice i would eat a bunch of them :D
I destroyed them in no time
