Does it even matter if we stop eating animals?

Do we love animals? Is love dependant on social norms?

Many people say they love animals, but still, act in a way that is not true to their own values. Every time we eat meat at least one animal must be killed, can we love animals and still kill them?

We have a tendency to show more love towards cats and dogs, not being aware that also cows, chickens, and pigs are also beings that experience companionship, fear, joy and pain.

Imagine yourself the world was turned upside-down and we were eating cats and dogs instead of the currently farmed animals, would you still eat meat if cats and dogs were your only option?

Does being a vegetarian or vegan have any significant effect?

The decision to kill less or no animals have very profound effects on your own health, the environment, and several animal lives.

The Vegetarian calculator estimate that we save around 202 animals per year by being vegetarian.

The Vegan calculator estimates more environmental statistics and shows how many square feet of forests, how many gallons of water, and pounds of grains you've saved.

Wow! This is very cool. I saved over 4,000 animals from slaughter! I'm feeling awesome.
