Veganism and why it is the best lifestyle
Even though I am not vegan myself at the moment, my boyfriend Alan is. Making it easier for me to be vegan, too.
My twin sister ( @cynbedthia) already started to be vegan a couple of years ago, giving me quite a lot of information, making it easier to understand.
Last summer Alan was in Mexico, swimming and diving around the sea. When this big swarm of fish just started to swim around him. I can only imagine how amazing that must have been. This experience made him realise that we're all one. Not just humans but animals, too. The littlest of creation even. They are just a living soul fulfilling their purpose as we are.
No matter how grossed out or scared we are can be sometimes due to imbalance.
For example: we all know how annoying mosquitoes can be, making our skin itchy. But if we compared them to us we are just like those mosquitoes, annoying other animals (insects) with our beings, even harming or destroying them.
The difference between us humans and animals is that we have a consciousness we can actively use to make choices with.
Animals are just beings, doing what they're supposed to do in their nature.
Isn't that great? Just to be? Not having to think or feel pain that we ourselves created?
There is people out there that believe animals were put down here especially for us to eat them. They think meat is a necessity to our health. They think because we can it is right to not just kill them but reproduce them over and over again, make them suffer their whole lives, just so we can stimulate our sense of taste.
I know for certain I will be vegan soon enough, the closer I am to connecting myself as this soul with the universe.
The only thing that's holding me back are my egotistic habits.
As somebody that at some point liked meat very much, it's not easy to just stop. Which is why it's good that Alan and I cook things that are vegan but not just include vegetables. He makes such great burritos you wouldn't even believe they're vegan.
Someday we might even only be raw vegan to get all the nutrition we need.
Although I believe why for me personally it's not too easy to become vegan is because I haven't found that connection to myself yet, not being able to appreciate every other living on this earth as I don't appreciate myself.
Unfortunately I was never a big fan of fruit, which might have to do with blocked energy (chakras).
But what I know for sure, when you feel good you wanna eat good. And to feel good you need to eat good. So it's more of a cycle of choices you have to make to get where you wanna get. But in the end it's not as difficult as we always think.
This is easy made pasta with vegan Parmesan and mixed vegetables like broccoli, onion, sweetcorn, tomato, pepper,etc.. Sometimes we make the sauce ourselves or buy it in-store ready. It varies on what we got or how much time we have.
Easy and good. :)
P.s.: Alan also doesn't eat anything that has palm oil in it. Because companies destroy the environment through the production of palm oil as it is cheaper.
Great information of why it is more ethical and natural to be vegan!!
You will get there and it's already a really big step to make steps!
Lovely story... everybody at his own pace. Bite-by-bite. My husband was a huge meat eater too until plants changed his life and reversed his disease. I also showed him documentaries like Earthlings and What The Health which helped him make more conscious choices. Today we only eat animal products on very rare occasions and feel great... Have a lovely day ;)
