Honestly, I would love to hear what the official explanation is and not just about the building's architecture. The apocalyptic 'Christ rising' sculpture is equally fucked and why are there no crosses to be seen anywhere inside the audience hall?
I think Ed jumps to conclusions in the video, saying this could be proof of a reptilian conspiracy. Lol. The symbolism is by no means out of place in terms of Catholicism. The serpent is a well known symbol in the Bible... It represents Satan.
He absolutely does leap to reptilian...but you really think this is not out of place?
I was raised catholic and spent a lot of time in churches in my youth. Never have I seen this kind of representation of snake/satan. At least in my experience, a snake is typically depicted trying to tempt Jesus. I have seen paintings of this kind of scene or a snake (Satan) tempting Christ in the desert but they're equally represented. In this Audience Hall is a ginormous head of a snake that dominates the entire space.
You're right, that it is part of the teachings but in terms of artwork/paintings or religious decorations this is very out of place in a place of worship.
For the record, I'm not a practicing catholic so I'm not all up in arms about this. I just really think this is a massive WTF... I can see no rational explanation for this architecture.
I suppose it is out of place if you consider Catholicism to be a force for good. But if you know the Catholic church to be led by devil worshipers, then it seems to be in the very perfect place.
I think the outerdark revisited this a while later when he looked into the Father Malachi Martin testimony. You should check out that one, and look up the guy yourself. It's quite interesting. I wrote a post about it on my alt account a while back.
You should check out Jonathan Kleck on youtube. He points out a lot of this and more. The entire vatican building structure is also a snake on the outside. There are other things as well.
