A little bit about values

This world is impressively huge, with about 2 billion people living it but there's one common thing for all of us and it's one of the main things that make us humans: these are values. There's a quiet extent catalog of values which every culture, country or even person decides to adopt and live by. But the minute we, as humans, decide to loose them, we become further closer to animals and we start acting for what our instincts want to reflect. The set of values every person can assume will vary from education, family, religion and all these elements that surround people and forge character.
What I believe we can do for each other is to stay true to our convictions and live by what we think and feel. I know this phrase sounds like a beuty pageant, but this is what my life experience has taught me: never try to be who you are not. One thing is to grow up and old, but why is not right is to mutate into someone completely different to who you have always been, because that only says, one of this "persons" was never true.
This post doesn't intend to create any discomfort, but it is a wake up call to all people who are wondering and running around circles trying to figure out who to be: be yourselves. The way you are is great, I'm sure you have people who loves you and that's what matter... It doesn't matter if you are the pink unicorn in your social circle, you're unique and you just have to hang in there and be true to yourself. What's key in this process is to define your set of values, give definition to each one and realising if they are compatible with what the world defines as that value. You can't say you're respectful and then become a bully, for example.
Roy Disney once said "when your values are clear to you, making decisions is easy" and that's beacuse we you act by what you believe, there isn't a way you could feel robbed or betrayed, you can only act when you feel comfortable and never put first fright or being likeable. The point is to develop your own set of values, define them and then act under this frame you have set yourself.
