I encourage you to seek out sources and read the studies. You will be amazed how many studies prove the opposite of what you've been told. Use alternative search engines like this one which claims it is anonymous and uncensored. For instance, we've all heard the claim time and time again that there is no proof that vaccines cause autism. Yet, there is A LOT of evidence. You just have to look for it, because it will not be given to you by the medical establishment (doctors, health units, government websites, etc). I have compiled the following links for people who want to educate themselves about both sides of the issue. You can find info to support the belief that vaccines are safe and necessary very easily.
