My trip to Punta Cana / Mexico
I am almost finished with my vacation. I was thinking that it would be a nice 2nd post for steemit.
The Morning of the Flight.
First, we woke up at 4am to get ready. at 5am we went to the airport (my 4th time flying) and arrived at 6am. We went through security and that took about 30 minutes. By then, the time was around 6:30am and we waited at our terminal for 30 minutes. At 7am we started boarding the plane. At 7:20 we tookoff, even though it was 10 minutes early :).
The Plane Ride...
The plane ride was around 3-4 hours and the seats were pretty uncomfortable. I got 2 drinks and 2 bags of pretzels during the plane ride. I was flying on Allegient Airlines which was a let down for me because because I usually fly Delta. The service there was pretty good and overall was a good flight.
Off the Plane!
Once we got off the plane there was more customs security. This time it only took about 15 minutes. I think that the airport security wasn't as bad because we already went through u.s. customs. All we had to do was x-ray our luggage and show passports. We walked up to a group of bus drivers and one from Apple Vacations told us what bus number we need to get on. So we went on and put our luggage inside of it.
The Bus Ride and Resort!
The bus ride was about 30 minutes but I was sleeping through it all. We got to the resort and it looked HUGE!!! We went to the desk and they gave us wristbands that open the door.
They told us that the room would be ready in 3 hours. So we went and ate lunch at the buffet resturant. It was pretty good...
The Hotel Room
When we finished eating and walking around for a bit, the hotel room was ready. We got 2 rooms to fit our family of 5. There were 4 beds, 3 for the kids and 1 for the 2 adults. The space was pretty big and the beds are comfortable. We were in the best building, closest to the pools and closest to the 2 sit down resturants. Our view wasnt too good but was pleasing enough for my family.
The Food and Beach
The food was very good and all inclusive. The only resturant that we had a hard time at was the buffet (selections). I think its funny cause their name is selections and they have no selections 😂. At the other hotel, the royalton, there are more resturants. If you stay at memorie splash and want to eat at the royalton, its 10$ per person. This was inconvienient for us because it would be 50$
Our Daily Activity
We took this vacation just to relax. So we just went to the pool from like 12 - 3 and the beach from 3 - 6. Some days we would go to the water park instead of the pool. The beach and calm pool are pretty calm and the main pool is fun. Every night they have different activities to do. We usually stay up till 3. The drinks taste watered down but 5 can get u drunk. They also sell bongs in the stores 😂😂😂
Summary
I think that in my next day, I will go on like usual. The plane ride will probably be uncomfortable but I will live with it. This vacation could have been better for 1000$ a person but im not complaining. They have a nice teens hang out for the kids that are 11-17 and for the kids that are under 11, there is a kids club with gun activities!
