Elyu Wanderlust
So before the summer season end we tried to enjoy a bit of it at La Union, Philippines.
A vacation treat for ourselves after passing all the remaining subjects of our course.
HERE ARE MY COMPANIONS DURING THAT TRIP
The five reamaining of the supposed to be 12 people who planned this vacation from the very start.hahaha
FIRST STOP: KAMAY NA BATO STONE ART GALLERY
It was indeed an art gallery. Filled with art crafts not solely from stones but also sculptures, regular paintings and 3D ones.
HERE ARE SOME SNAPS
Not that much in this area.We intended to visit the popular Luna's Bahay na Bato(Stone house) but we were informed that it was already closed due to vandalism and tourists' carelessness. We chitchat with the locals for quite some time until one suggested that we can actually be given an opportunity to visit the "Bahay na Bato" by asking the caretaker there personally.
SECOND STOP: BAHAY NA BATO
We went straight to the location of the house and tried to convince the caretaker. He was hesitant at first, but gladly toured us around in the end. We just gained his trust and maybe he felt our intent to tour the area without leaving any remnants in the end. (Luckily! we mastered the art of socializing!)
Architecture was fascinating matched with a natural beauty of pebbled beach and sky. LANDSCAPE design was outstanding. Very suitable as a vacation house or even venue for beach weddings.
The interiors were classically beautiful. All are "instagramable" and it's very comfy inside. The ambiance around gives that feeling of PEACE and TRANQUILITY.
We were informed that they are planning to convert it into a resort someday but will only be accessible to those related to the owner or had been approved by the owner.
LAST STOP: IMMUKI ISLAND
A nice place to enjoy swimming. You can just learn what's the reason behind its name when you visit there personally.(SPG alert. hahaha)
We rented a "balsa"( bamboo raft) and we were brought to what they call a lagoon where in the water was so calm and crystal clear.
The lagoon part was the perfect spot for swimming as claimed by the locals. Depths vary but is safe enough for swimmers and non-swimmers. Just don't forget to bring your slippers for the sea bed is primarily filled with sharp and rough corals.
That was a tiring but fulfilling day. Weather was insanely hot during that day but we almost forgot about it for we are up for fun and adventures.
The best word to describe that trip? It's HYGGE( a Danish word which means the warm feeling We feel when we enjoy good things with friends and all life has to offer)
