Introduction

In this article I want to introduce my development work of improving the ASK21 for FlightGear, which I have modified in multiple ways from different versions in 2017.

The flight simulator is free for win, mac and linux: http://www.flightgear.org

Wel done sir..

Hi @schamangerbert! If you don't mind, I would like to ask if it's free for you to make aircrafts in FlightGear, or is there a membership fee needed before you can make one?

It is free! Everyone can contribute to the project. There are different tasks, aircraft, scenery and core development. Just take an existing aircraft and start modifying it, or build any scenery buildings and place them on the right spot. Look to the flightgear wiki to get started.

Some only make liveries also. Many different ways to get involved.

Wow! That's interesting. I somehow now want to modify my own aircraft too! Sadly, it's just for windows, mac or linux right? When I get to have a PC, I'll definitely try it out. Thank you very much for the help and info @schamangerbert! I totally want to follow your posts about this :)

Lets say you want to change the speed of a wheel spinning.
You need then open FlightGear with the model and look to it. You see that it is not spinning right, to slow or to fast.
Then you open the model.xml file in the model folder of the aircraft with an editor.
Search for "spin" and find anything like wheel or gear.
You will find an < animation>< type="spin"> and inside there is a number lets say 30. Then you change the number to 10 and safe the file and restart the model in FlightGear and now you see the wheel is going 1/3 slower.

Excellent work that you make friend @schamangerbert, thank you very much for your visit to my blog @ropavejero.. A hug and I am pending the next tournament ..
