Tutorial: How to play Nintendo Wii games in PC (Dolphin emulator)
Introduction
Hi Anidel here. Today I will show you how to play Nintendo Gamecube and Wii Games in PC. I will try to make this tutorial as detailed and easy as possible so that everyone can follow the tutorial including the newbies.
Requirements
- Windows Operating System (64-bit recommended)
- Dolphin emulator
- Game ROM
- Torrent client
- Chrome Browser (We use this as our default browser since we use shorthand keystrokes native to chrome browser)
- Hardware: Intel i3 and up processor or equivalent, 4GB of RAM and 1GB of hard disk space
Procedure
The first thing we want to do is to download all the required files. We first download the installation file for the dolphin emulator. We can find the link here. After downloading the emulator we download a sample game that we will use to check the emulator. You can get a sample game here. We need a Bittorrent client to download the game, if you don't have one you can get a copy here.
After downloading all the required files we start to install the emulator. Go to the Chrome download page by pressing "CTRL+J" while you are in the chrome browser. This should bring you to the download page of chrome. Locate the "dolphin-x64-5.0.exe" that we have downloaded earlier and install it. Instructions are written in the screenshots shown below.
Locate where the Dolphin Wii emulator was downloaded.
Once we are in the download folder. Locate the file "dolphin-x64-5.0.exe" run it to start the installation process. Don't mind the installation warning the installer is clean.
Once you reach this page. Make sure that you remember the installation directory so that you can put the games sample there later. The installation directory is shown at the screenshot below.
Once we are done installing the Wii emulator. We then proceed to copy the downloaded sample game from the torrent. We can do this by locating the downloaded file in the utorrent dashboard as shown in the screenshots below.
To locate the game folder and file we "Right click" on the name of the game torrent file and select "Open containing folder".
Just cut and paste the folder (SMNE01 New Super Mario Bros Wii) containing game file to the main directory of the Dolphin emulator: "C:\Program Files\Dolphin"*
Now we can start the dolphin emulator and test it. We do this my clicking on the icon of Dolphin emulator located desktop. This shortcut was installed during the installation of the emulator.
Once this emulator is running we can load the game to the emulator. This is done by clicking on the "open icon" on the main dashboard of the emulator program. This will trigger a pop out window where you can use to locate the game file which was in the main directory of the emulator. Screenshot of this procedure is shown above.
Once the game is loaded the emulator starts running the game.
Congratulation you have now a near perfect emulator of Nintendo Wii. As an added bonus this emulator also emulates Gamecube system. You can find them in the the usual places :) Enjoy!

Wow!, galing mo kapatid, sa wakas nakakita din ako bukod sa kn ng nag contribute ng utopian post about gaming/emulators like Dolphin haha, cheers.
Haha thanks sir.
Oh yeah i have that link also but the thing is every release of MAME has has some different Bios requirements and sometimes also different ROM sets kaya medyo tricky. If am not mistaken there is a way to make them compatible I just don't know how.
hmm, don't know, haven't used MAME in a while. Maybe this http://fantasyanime.com/emuhelp/mame would help. I think it depends on the game like from what console they were played before or company and also since MAME has different versions too or maybe this. http://mameaddicts.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=286
Okay i will check those sites as well :)
