Previously the project owner opened an issue to design a logo. After I reviewed this project, I was interested in creating a logo for the project. And the project owner agrees.

Details
Check-In is a free and open source Android app for posting your current update to your followers. It uses an approximation of your current location and plots it on a map. You can also see your followers recently updated statuses.
Benefits / Improvements
I created this logo with a simple, memorable, modern and unique style. In the logo, I have combined several elements, namely a letter 'C', a letter 'i', pin map and camera.
All of these elements relate to the project and have the meaning of each. The letters 'C' and 'I' come from initial 'Check' and 'In', and the pin map element means a location while a camera means that this app can take a picture of a location.
The icon has been designed according to the material design guidelines.

Thank you for the contribution, I appreciated your work and I think that your presentation is clearly understandable. However, every decision should has reason in design area. So, please next time clarify your reasons about choosing typeface and color palette.
Besides on that, we found a logo design on Instagram which one is so similar with your design. Due to this reason, unfortunately your logo design seems weak about the originality and we can not evaluate your contribution. I hope you understand the situation. Have a good day.
