yaxim (Yet Another XMPP Instant Messenger) is an XMPP client with a clean user interface and open source (GPLv2). Why pay for SMS if you can have unlimited messaging on your data plan?

yaxim aims at security, low overhead and keeping your server connection open. So far, it only supports a single account.

Features:

Connection with a single XMPP server (or GTalk, or Facebook Chat, or …)
Immediate reconnection on 3G/WiFi network changes (seamless with XEP-0198)
You are asked about self-signed SSL certificates
Allows automatic connection after turning on your phone
Roster management support
Persistent message history
Message Carbons (XEP-0280)

Proposal

I have told in my previous suggestion that I will be suggesting more improvements to Yaxim so I am here with part 3 for the improvement of yaxim. My this suggestion comprises of 4 improvements for Yaxim-XMPP. These are listed below ;

• Set profile picture 🖼 :Using this feature people can set there display picture for their account in Yaxim-XMPP. This will let other people know that who you are, whom you are chatting with. It gets a great improvement as many users love setting their profile pictures.
• Synchronisation 🔄:When you have yaxim installed you cannot see there any friends or family members. If any of the your contacts is using yaxim it will let you know and you can easily find the friends instead of getting bored in Yaxim messenger.
• Last seen:This feature leads users see that when your friend was last time online and shows the time ⌚ when he opened Yaxim-XMPP.
• Change background of chat:By this feature user can make his chat more good looking by setting his image or some nice images in background of chat

Benefits

• Setting profile picture :It can be used by users for there identify on the yaxim. Users can set up profile photo of their own to let others know that who you are.
• Last seen :If you have to see that when your friend was last time online or is he still online you can know by this feature.
  +Synchronisation :Boring using yaxim without friends if you want to add your friends to Yaxim that are in your contacts by this feature you can easily frt know that wbo in your contacts is on yaxim. This improves your communication with more friends.
• Change chat background ;You can let your chat be more good looking and attractive by setting some nice pictures as your chat background.
