It has been a hectic week at my day job, I did not have much time in working on my open source project. Today I will be contributing some front-end and back-end development to the project.

What is PH Steem Stats?

PH Steem Stats, is a web application built using node.js to show the stats of Steemit users from the Philippines. The data is from the SteemSQL Database created by @arcange. I have made it so that you can easily search for other users who are near you and build sub communities. Also is to see the new users so you can easily see who are new and guide them if ever as Steemit is quite confusing at first basing on experience.

For the front-end I think it is time to finally add the logo to the header of the project. In the back-end it will be also necessary and very important to include a new users page.

Front-end

Features done:
Add the logo to the header, and style the header accordingly.

It is finally great to see the logo up there, finally the site has now some branding not just a plain text of a logo. The front-end looks really plain, and not good to look at but it will be good for now. Will make a proper design later on.

Back-end

Features done:

1. Add a New Users Page.
2. Create an sql query for the New Users Page.
3. Implement Data Tables Searching.

This feature added might seems small, but it is very important. Imagine you can get the latest newest users from your country? Being a new user in Steemit it is very hard to learn all of the basics about it. I have experienced this too when I was a new user, and took me a lot of time to learn how this works. By seeing the new created users you can communicate with them, point them to the right direction. Give some useful tips, make them read tutorials or guides, or even let them know that there is a community behind them, and to support them.

The query here uses the created_date as parameter, we query the Accounts table, and search for user accounts which are created in the last 30 days from the current date, which also has the 'philippines' word in their profile information steemit profile.
