Additional of automatic backup and optimising local storage after backups in Leafpic application.

Components

Leafpic is an android gallery which is still under development and has very little features compared to other galleries and there are a few features that I would like to suggest in the settings of leafpic.

Proposal

My suggestion consists of two features that I would like to be implemented in the leafpic gallery application.

Feature 1

There should be an option to automatically backup the photos, videos and other files to cloud storage. This feature is very common in top gallery applications and all the users of leafpic will definitely welcome this feature.

Feature 2

The second feature that I am suggesting here is that there should be an option to optimise local storage after backups.
For those of you who don't know what this means, let me tell that optimising local storage means that the full resolution pictures and videos are replaced by the optimised ones after the backup.

Benefits

The benefits of the above mentioned features are:

1. By having an option to automatically backup the pictures, videos and files, there will be no worry of losing your files and automatic backup will do the backing up automatically even if you forget or don't have the time to do so.

2. Optimising the local storage after backups will help reduce the load on your phone by freeing a lot of space as the full resolution pictures and videos will be replaced by optimised versions.
   You will have access to your data in the cloud and you can get the full resolution data files back whenever you want.
