statBot successfully implemented into #teammalaysia group!
statBot project was left aside for a week, today after some tweaks is done, it is implemented into #teammalaysia discord group.
Bug Fixes
What was the issue(s)?
- Currently, #teammalaysia is using a bot to convert crypto to crypto, fiat to crypto and crypto to fiat but the bot is down for sometimes of the day.
- SteemSQL has changed to paid subscription, so an update in the setup is done.
Currently, SteemSQL has changed to paid subscription, therefore using
%tagrequire access to SteemSQL. You can read more about this here.
What was the solution?
- Changing the API from coinmarketcap to cryptocompare
- Add new convert feature with the cryptocompare API

How did you implement it/them?
Using cryptocompare API, fiat to crypto, crypto to fiat and crypto to crypto can be done. Some changes in codes is made in order to get the json data out.
About this Project
What is the project about?
Since most of us are on discord all the time, won't it be nice that everything can be done on discord? Therefore, I had the idea of creating a bot that solves my problem, and maybe others too! This bot currently holds utility feature for all steemit user!
Roadmap
- More test need to be added
- Suitable use of SteemSQL to query useful statistics (User status, etc)
- Create an API server instead of inbound SQL queries to seperate API backend with Discord Front end
