New year code cleaning completed
Finally done with this, I finished rewriting my whole code to implement messaging between the different components of SteemPlus. As i was saying in here, since new features of SteemPlus kept coming one after the other, I never really took the time to reorganize my code to avoid redundancies, and treated each feature as a separate program. With this second update, SteemPlus will finally run as a whole.
To be honest that was very annoying to do but it was essential for three reasons:
- It makes the code easier to read
- It runs faster by avoiding redundancies
- Most importantly, it will allow the full integration with SteemConnect that is coming very very soon,
Basically to achieve that, the changes pushed in this commit and the previous one use Messaging to communicate between the different content scripts of the extension instead of running each of them independently. Therefore, calls to APIs used in more than one feature do not need to be called multiple time.
Since I was at it, I also made minor changes to the layout of some elements.
I'm getting back on it to offer you the SteemConnect version soon (yea I keep talking about it, but now it s coming I swear!)
