Utopian Suggestion : Add an option for "preferred channels" and feed from "channels".

Good Day Everyone. Here is another suggestion for steemit user interface. I have a suggestion to to put a link of channels (Those channels should show in the feed which a user has chosen earlier).

In the current scenario we have the link of a "feed" where we used to get the update of a new post from the steemians who are in our "following" list. But we don't have direct access to a particular channel/tag in the form of a shortcut in our homepage. And when we wish to visit a particular channel we used to go by.... https://steemit.com/trending/channel . Here I have written channel and it could be any channel of your interest.

A particular tag/channel is an important aspect of a post, because it reaches to the right reader and/or curator and with the use of a correct tag not only the post get the desired exposure but also get the desired reward based on its quality content. But most of the user certainly ignores the relevant use of tag either because of lack of awareness or because lack of availability of direct tool/link in the user interface.

So my suggestion is to let the user have an exposure to some popular channel(This can be done by giving a link for channels) and the user will have that freedom to choose the channels as per his/her choice and whatever channels he/she has chosen will be feeding to his/her profile.

Suppose a user have the interest of science, then he will use science tag/channel for a post related to science and at the same time, if earlier he has chosen "science" as the preferred channel, then he will get the feed from the science channel.

My suggestion is to first make "preferred channel option" available in "profile setting" page where he/she will put the channels or tag of his/her interest and then save it. Once saved, the channels should be feeding the updates about the new post in the same way the new posts of a following account get updates. In this way first of all we are letting the user an impression about the channel and as the user go on experiencing this community more and more, then he/she will be able to understand the value of a particular tag/channel and how to use them judiciously relevant to a particular post. And I am sure that with the passage of time, the user will make use of the channel in most appropriate way and will also understand how important it is to direct a post to the desired reader/curator.

There have been cases of excellent article, but because of not putting the correct tag the article did not get that exposure, how sad is that. So if we put a link of "channel" in the user interface, then the same will become important and the user will also tend to be attentive in using a particular tag/channel.
