Let's Play Favorite in Steemit
Favorites, you know you have them. You have your favorite food, drinks, celebrities, athletes, and brands among other things. I'm sure here in steemit, you already picked your favorites. It could be author, topics, or even groups.
In case of authors, your favorites are the ones that gets most of your attention and upvotes for your own personal reasons. You like them so much that you almost stalk them by looking for their posts and upvoting anything they publish.
But if you are following a lot of people, the posts from your favorite authors can easily get lost in all the clutter. You have to type the address of their profile or open some bookmarks you created for them.
Don't you wish that you can view posts from all your favorite authors in a separate feed? Exactly.
So I have this idea of giving users a way to mark authors as their favorite.
It can be done by simply putting a button beside that follow button. See image below:
When we visit an author, there should be an option to mark that author as favorite. In image above, there can be four (4) scenarios:
Clicking follow will let you follow the author and their posts are push in your feed.
Clicking both follow and favorite will let you follow the author and they will be your favorite. Their posts will be pushed to your newsfeed and a separate tab called favorites.
Clicking the star icon will make the author your favorite. Logically, you'll follow that author automatically without having to click the follow button. Their posts will be pushed to your newsfeed and the favorites tab.
Ignoring both buttons will keep the poor fellow out of your personal feed.
Under my proposed idea, our feed could look like this:
Tada! A favorite feed for all the guys we are stalking!
And if we're going to take it a little further,my previous suggestion about following tags can be applied:
Having something like this will help us keep track of posts from our favorite authors.

I have so many favorites and trying to check up on them is a pain in the neck! I use steemvoter to keep track of their posts, this will be better!
Me too. Steemvoter works for but you still to find their posts if you want to read them.

i wish we could have that here so I could easily find the post of my favorite authors and/or friends here in Steemit.
Yep. It will improve user experience in my opinion.
