They are beneficiaries; which means they take a certain percentage of rewards for every post posted through their app.

There is no list for that. But if it is open source, you can check the code and know. Or ask other users too
after publishing a post by one app, you can check https://steemd.com/@spacetrucker and see if there are any extra options after publishing post or not.
