I have an idea for utopian developement community.
Lets jump straight into it, those who don't know about smartbillions, it is a 24/7 lottery based on ETHEREUM blockchain. A draw is held every time an ETH block is mined. Moreover, the result of draw are the last six digits of the hash, so it makes it provably fair. Also, since, a hash is a hexadecimal string, the number range for the lottery is from 0 - 15. This makes conversion a lot easier.
The result of one's ticket comes after the 3rd block from when the ticket was purchased. E.g if I buy a ticket and the transaction is confirmed in block # 141, the result of my ticket will be in block # 144
Smartbillions currently has 2.5+ million dollars in jackpots, however, the increased gas price and ETH block chain congestion has caused a drastic decline in the number of tickets played, A few days BC (before Crypto-Kitties) the average daily tickets played were around 1000, whereas, now the number is only around 10-20.
Keeping this in mind, this issue would have never been a problem if Smartbillions were built on steem blockchain. Also, no transaction fee and the speed of transaction would make it even more fun to play.
We will need to have an external for this lotto, "steembillions" is a nice name for it though.
