Project progress

I finally managed to continue translating this project, my schedule was keeping me very busy during the past week, which reminded me of the meeting I have tomorrow...

Anyways, while translating this project, I noticed that I had to keep the official OroCommerce User Guide page constantly open, because many terms needed clarification in order to be translated properly. That's why I thought that it might be useful to share within each post some "tricky" strings I encountered during work.

For example, strings like these two:

and

At first, when you see the word "Customer", you think of a person who is buying some product. But then you see the next string which says "Customer User", and start thinking about the difference between these strings.

This is the moment where you have to do your homework and go to the OroCommerce User Guide page, which explains the usage of the first word:

In OroCommerce terminology, customers are companies who buy your products using OroCommerce storefront.

And for the Customer User:

Customer users act on behalf of the company and may have a limited set of permissions in OroCommerce, depending on their function in the customer organization.

Without these explanations, it would be very difficult to translate those seemingly easy strings properly.

Project details

OroCommerce is a B2B (business-to-business) eCommerce, which means that enables electronic transactions between two or more business entities over the internet. This concept was made to improve buying efficiency for companies.

How B2B concept works? Companies are providing components or raw materials to one another via B2B transactions, and when a company has a finished product, the sale of that product to the end customer is performed via B2C (business-to-consumer) transaction. For example, a laptop manufacturer must make several B2B transactions to buy components such as mother boards, processors, graphic cards, memory, etc. in order to make a laptop. Once a company has made a laptop, it makes a single B2C transaction and sells it to the customer.

Here's a nice Youtube video explaining in detail the concept of B2B transactions in OroCommerce:

Part III already, and the confirmation of your post with the guidelines how to be a good LM.

I'm very happy with the people we have in our team because they are very committed and responsible.

As this was Part III there were no problems at all.
I praise your efforts to translate "brand terms" of OroCommerce in a user-friendly way because I know that 1 word means 5 min on Google.

I haven't found a single typo, and I had two minor suggestions (more subjective than objective)

With the right team, work is easy, life is easy - thank you!
