Steemit Milestone: 10th Month 第十个月 - Translation Resurrected!

Dear Steemian Friends,

Believe it or not, this is already my 10th Month into Steemit.

This has been an incredible hectic month for me, thus I had been late reporting my journey on the 16th.

These monthly milestones are done with the intention of helping new Steemians who have just embarked into the unknown land of Steemit. I remember how lost I was in the first 3 months, thus I decided to keep writing these monthly reports to help newbies see the potential future ahead on Steemit.

Reputation: 68
Followers: 2051

It seems that I have been stuck at 68 in reputation for a while. The higher you get, the longer it takes for the reputation to get moved up. I want to take this opportunity to thank the 2051 Steemit followers for your constant support. It's great to know who my audience is when I write these Steemit posts.

Here is ONE advice I want to give to the newbies: Always power up your SP

• In these last 10 months, I never withdrew any money.
• Power up is the only way to go if you want to succeed on Steemit. That is exactly what I did.
• Always give back to the community with all the rewards you had earned.
• Delegate your SP to worthy communities - that's how I became a dolphin. So far I have delegated 1000 SP to 5 worthy communities.
• I intend to reach 10,000 SP for whale status, hopefully before the end of my 1st year on Steemit.

Month of June - Translation Resurrected

As many of you know, the translation category in Utopian.io is back and went live since June 17th. After a dead silence of about 3 months, the translation category has come back in full force with our collaboration with @davinci.witness team.

These are exciting times ahead of us.

It has been indeed a great pleasure for me to get to know the @davinci.witness team & co-work with them in the past 10 days. We were given the awesome task to rebuild the Translation Category for @Utopian-io with the intention of creating an international community of professional translators to help Open Source projects go global.

Most of us hardly slept during these few days as we watched the whole movement coming back to life again. These are exciting times, so much so that we didn't need to sleep at all. It was 24/7 around the clock to get things moving globally. And we did!

This is the longest moment we were all waiting for and I am so glad to have a part in this re-birth of Translation.

On the first day, there were high enthusiasm and thrills as translators signed in to the DaVinci Discord channel People whom we used to know came in with excitement. You need to be there to witness the people flooding in when the gate opened. It was like an unexpected 'class-reunion' as many members had not talked to each other for the last 3 months.

We are happy to see so much enthusiasm watching Translation launching afresh again. About 133 applicants applied officially with a Steemit post to join this great movement. Out of this big applications, we chose 5 Language Moderators with 15 authorized translators to surf on this first wave.

5 languages are chosen for this first ride: Greek, Italian, Spanish, Chinese and German. As the weeks continue, we will add more Language moderators and translators to ride on these continuing waves. Be sure to join us as we celebrate together - Translation was gone but now BACK STRONGER!

For all my Steemian friends, continue to follow me on this remarkable journey that I am taking you. The tiredness and effects are showing but in the coming month, more excitement is happening around the corner. Stay tuned!
