Steemdesk - Display 5 most used tags + frequency use

Steemdesk is a new open source platform displaying different activities of any Steemit blogger. All you need to do is to type in the user's name and it shows different activities of a user, like followers, number of posts, whom they have delegated SP, etc.

I want to suggest another set of information that steemdesk can display so that we can get to know the user better by looking at the 'tags' that they use for their post. By looking at these 'tags', we get a good idea of what kind of posts the users are active in and which categories of subjects they like posting.

Proposal

I propose that there is a new tab that shows: TAGS

• Steemit allows us to use 5 tags, so 5 different # hashtags should be showing on the dashboard page.

• Users most probably use more than these 5 tags on their Steemit posts, but it is not necessary to show all the tags that they use. We just want to focus on the 5 tags to highlight the categories that the users like to post in.

• With the 5 tags, the first one would show the 'most used' tag, and then the next one would show the 'next used tag', and so on.

• Under the 5 tags, I propose also the number of posts that the users use for that specific tag. In this way, we get an idea of how many posts are used for that tag

Mockups / Examples

Step 1: Add this extra tab on the Side Dashboard - 'TAGS'

Step 2: When the 'Tag' tab is clicked on, it will take them to this display page

• On this page, you can see that I keyed in my username: rosatravels

• 5 Different tags are shown on this page

• Right away, you can see the categories of post that I do on Steemit

• The 1st one is #Utopian-io - this means that this is the most used tags on my Steemit posts

• The 2nd one is #travels - this is the next most frequent used tag

• The 3rd one is #cn - the chinese community that I am involved in is the 3rd most used tag

• The 4th one is #photography - this means that I post quite a lot of photos but not as much as posting about my travels nor my involvement in the cn community

• The 5th one is #blog - the least used tags out of these 5 tags that are used on my blog

Step 3: Show also the number of posts used for these tags

• In the following screenshot, when we click on the #hashtags, we can see the number of posts that are used for that 'tag'.

• By looking at the statistics, it will give you a set of information about the user as to what kind of topics are his subjects

Benefits

Since Steemdesk platform is to give us effective information of different users on Steemit, I believe the added feature of 'tags' would great benefit us:

• we know the users much more by looking at the tags he uses

• if we are interested in 'travels', we may want to get in touch with the Steemit user and follow him

• the display on one page reveals the user's interest in one flash

• we do not need to go to the user's profile and look through all their posts

• this will be a convenient feature to get to know the Steemit user better.
