Suggestion Feature for Bible App - Add this technical Forward & Back Technical Arrows at the Top

Components

"And Bible" is an Android app for Bible teachers and students to use to study the Bible on Androids and tablets. This app was created 2 years ago and are now inviting people to make suggestions features that can be added to make the app more effective for users.

I came to know about this app about a week ago. Since I am a Bible teacher, I am very interested in this app. I am also introducing this app to help a group of Bible students. So there are some neat features that I want to propose to the project owner to enhance the usage of this app.

My Proposal

This App allows users to read the Bible from beginning to end. There are 66 Books in the Bible meaning that the menu interface of the home page needs to make it easy for users to read the Bible from one chapter to the next. Right now, when the user finishes one chapter of the Bible, it does not take the user to the next chapter. So the user ends up going back to the original menu to make 2 Tabs to find the next chapter. This slows down the reading when you read the Book of Genesis at one sitting.

For example: Book of Genesis has 50 Chapters

User is shown this Window for Genesis Chapter 1:

• I boxed it in 'red' so you can see clearly what to look at.

• And when you finish reading the first chapter, you want to go to the next chapter, you need to tab the 'boxed red' there and it will take you to the first following page. (This is the first tab)

• here you see 50 chapters there.

• Then you need to Tab the '2' there to take you to Genesis Chapter 2. When you Tab the '2', the following screen pops up:

So you need to tab the 1 there to take you to the beginning of Genesis Chapter 2:1 to continue reading the next chapter.

To Enhance & Modify this Continuous Reading - Put in this Technical Features: ARROWS forward and ARROW backward at the TOP

• Right now it is very tedious to move from one chapter to the next

• the user needs to tab twice to go to the next chapter to read on.

• So if project owner can provide this Technical Feature - Forward and Backward ARROW at the top - then users can just tab at the top to move on to the next chapter easily.

Mockups / Examples

• In the following screenshot, I put in 2 arrows in red
• one is forward arrow to go to the next chapter
• one is backward arrow to go to the previous chapter

• If these technical tabs can be put at the TOP there for all reading, users can just tab the arrow up there to go to the next chapter, without clumsily going through the 2 tab windows to move on to the next chapter.
• Users don't need to leave this page after they finish reading the chapter 1

Benefits

The Bible has so many books - 66 chapters - and each Book has so many Chapters. So if users can just have those 'arrow' features up there for them to move forward and move back as they read, it is much more user friendly and beneficial to all users when they do their devotions reading the Bible without going through all the 2 different tabs to move on to the next chapter.
