Project Details

The Consul is a software e-government platform and digital e-participation originally developed for the Madrid City government and is also an open source software. The main principles underlying the platform are: open participation, transparency, a combination of online and offline participation, and citizen empowerment. The platform helps manage the complexity of participation, which is often a challenging task for the board. This platform brings governments closer to citizens by opening up participatory channels for policy-making.
