This blog post is about Psiphon, its an open source application for both PC , IOS devices and Android devices.
Psiphon is a tool used to bypass blocking from Psiphon Inc. it utilizes VPN, SSH and HTTP Proxy technology to provide uncensored access to Internet content. Psiphon clients will automatically learn about new access points to maximize your chances of bypassing censorship.
Psiphon is designed to provide you with open access to online content. Psiphon does not increase your online privacy, and should not be considered or used as an online security tool.

It's a company based in the capital of Canada Toronto which builds open-source multi-platform software that helps over 3 million people every week connect to content on the Internet.
Michael Hull is President of Psiphon Inc where he started as a project in the Citizen Lab, University of Toronto and has seen lead Psiphon till date to keep it as one of the top software in the area of bypassing censorship.
Psiphon has contracts in place with a range of companies, from large-scale international broadcasters to small human rights organizations operating in single countries. Psiphon partners with various groups to provide support and advice to people using Psiphon wherever they are. and aslo have translations for Psiphon in 15 languages

Psiphon for Windows does not get installed, and won't appear in Windows’ “Add or Remove Programs” list. The executable file can be run from your “Downloads” directory, or it can be copied to a different directory and run from there. If you want to remove the program, you can simply delete the executable file.
To Verify Psiphon download is authentic
Open the property dialog for the file and inspecting the Digital Signatures tab. The SHA1 thumbprint for the Psiphon Inc. certificate public key is displayed in the Certificate dialog Details tab.
Click the sha1 and click details
Click view certificate and click details
Then click thumbprint
For the certificate valid for the period 2017-07-05 to 2020-10-03 the SHA1 thumbprint is:

For the certificate valid for the period 2014-05-08 to 2017-09-06 the SHA1 thumbprint is:

Psiphon for Windows auto-updates itself, and this process automatically verifies that each update is authentic.
Privacy and Security offered by Psiphon
All data that goes through Psiphon is encrypted. This means that our ISP cannot see the content of your Internet traffic: web pages your browse, your chat messages, your uploads, etc. But however, Psiphon does not prevent our browsing history and cookies from being stored on our computer. And in some modes and configurations all of our Internet traffic might not be tunneled through Psiphon.

This is the first series in my Blog post for Psiphon ,this first series consists mainly of introduction, company, where to install, verify authenticity, privacy and security offered by Psiphon. the next series would focus on the work of Psiphon,how to use Psiphon for PC and Mobile and comparison with other tunneling applications.
