Esteem app is not able to upload image capturing through Picsart.

Actual behaviour:

I opened an app and edited an post. After finishing my edit, i tried to upload an image through Picsart Camera. I tried to capture an image on that time through Picsart Camera, but it is not being uploaded.

Expected behavior:

As usual it uploads every image also it uploads an image captured through direct phone camera. Like that it must be able to upload an image captured through Picsart Camera.

How to reproduce:

  • Open an app and click on to add a post.

  • Then click on ✏️ icon to add post.

  • After that click on 🖼️ image icon to add image.

  • Then click on Capture a photo to capture photo.

  • Then choose Picsart camera.

  • Capture an image and click on the Arrow to upload image.

  • App is not being able to upload the image. As by default when we add any image it shows an uploading icon on the top right corner and image is uploaded. But image captured through Picsart, it doesn't show any action and image is not being uploaded.

Environment:

  • Application : esteem Mobile v2 (2.0.6)

  • Android: Redmi Y2/S2

  • Operating system: 8.1.0

I was able to replicate the behavior you described. Apparently, picsart is not supported but on trying to upload via the default camera - the image gets loaded as is expected.

However, the default camera app is available to all android phones and since its possible to upload pictures directly by capturing with the default camera, we can say this does not completely affect the general usage of the app and therefore is negligible. This is reflected in the scoring.

The steps provided were easy to follow. The expected and actual behavior, on the other hand, could be shortened to "Application should be able to capture images via any camera app" and "The image is not uploaded when picsart is used for capture"

I see that this was reported for version 2.0.6. Reports should be based on the latest version of the application. But well, I was able to reproduce the same behavior in version 2.0.7. You should watch out for this in subsequent reports.
