Title: Shuttle music player
Publisher (if applicable):
Expected behavior
I actually expected to see a list of my precreated playlist, including and option to create a new playlist, when I opt to add a specfic genre to playlist.
Actual behavior
When one tries to add a genre to playlist, nothing shows up after clicking Add to
and then playlist
.
How to reproduce
Download and launch shuttle music player
Grant the required permissions.
You should be on the library after that.
Locate the genre tab at the extreme left of the library.
Now click on the vertical dot on the extreme right ofghe genre you want to play list.
From the pop up menu, select
ADD TO
on the next window, select
Playlist
.You will find that nothing happens after that.

Hi, I really like your content have an upvote.
Hi! I don't think this feature is supported, cause that would mean adding every song on a particular genre to a particular playlist, which would be extremely bulky depending on the end user's collection. I believe if it was supported, the list of already set playlists would pop up when you click the "add to". However, on clicking and opening a particular genre, the user is able to select songs from that genre to be added to a playlist.
I think you should try it that way when you want to select songs from a particular genre cause there is no need adding every song in a genre to a particular playlist if you can still access these same songs by just selecting and opening the genre they belong to. Consider the genre as the playlist itself.
But then, that's just what I think.

Its possible for every other category including " artist & album" which if considered should also be bulky too. secondly, if genre wasn't supported dont you think the option would have been faded off or removed entirely. @fego
I think it would but then, only the PO can attest to or have any say as to what is what.
Now, is rejecting the contribution while unsure about this, the way to go? @fego
I would not discuss acceptance or rejection per say with you. I can further elaborate on this topic but as it is - my leaving a useful comment has only led to an argument and already you are bent on sounding corny. I will leave it as it is.
That was far from my intention, only tried to make you see reasons with me. @fego
