Promoting steemplus extension on facebook

Introduction

I'm Omuabor Onos Bright, I'm a utopian moderator. Reviewing contributions to open source source projects heightened my passion not just review contributions but to actually promote these projects as most of them are not so popular.
In propagating these projects I use my facebook social account in which a page was created specifically for the promotion of open source projects.

Steemplus is an extension designed to include some extra functions to the steemit website. These functions are very beneficial functions both to newbies and older users of steemit. This extension is also useful on busy and utopian platform. On the utopian platform it allows users with reputation of 45+ give 1up votes to other users with approved contributions on and make them eligible to receive an upvote from 1up curation trail. I'm a beneficiary of this extension first hand as I've gotten upvotes from the trail on several occasions. Having benefited from the utilization of this extension both on steemit and utopian, I decided promoting it so other steemit users can know about it and utilize it so it can enhance their steemit operations.

Audience

My target audience for this promotion is for people in Nigeria within the ages 13-65+, no gender restrictions. Having done a promotion prior to this time about steemit, I decided to implore the same target audience as before so as to increase the probability of reaching out to those who were initially reached with the steemit promotion I carried out.

Activity

To promote this project to my target audience, I made a post about the steemplus extension on my facebook page, details as to how it works and some functions available were also stated in the post. To enhance reachabilty of this campaign I used the ads tool on facebook to disseminate this information as far as possible at a faster pace.

Results

From the campaign, a total of over 6,000 persons where reached, the post had over 60 engagements and 6 post clicks.

This results show that the campaign was quite successful. Nigerians are the hardest set of people to reach with this kind of campaigns, but from this results it shows mentality has changed and the country is getting more actively involved on steemit amd generally the steem blockchain.
