Haha. Yes @omitaylor, somehow that is still not happened. Hopefully their teams will handle this issue very soon.

It's driving me insane and why I don't use them. I understand if they don't want images and mini-posts in their description area; but the least they could do is parse or filter it so it's not code. I personally wish they would just allow mini posts in their body areas. That would put them supremely above Youtube and allow both platforms to be used for a wider range of activities. And what's up with Steemit's team? Does a hardfork need to happen before someone updates Condenser? The condenser is a whole other product by Steemit Inc. How come they won't upgrade it?

You can actually push their teams to have a look into this issue by directly contacting them @omitaylor. I want you to know that there is so much going on and these people are working day and night to make these projects successful.

And I am sorry I do not what Condenser is. Can you explain? :-O

I will explain assuming you don't know- although you may know this:

The Steem blockchain is the network protocol. See this article about blockchain protocols vs. TCP/IP. Bitcoin has a blockchain protocol different than Steem.
https://blockchain.works-hub.com/learn/Drawing-Parralels-between-TCP-IP-and-the-Blockchain

The entire internet is built on these protocols as I understand it. For example, TCP/IP, and peer-to-peer networks. Steem blockchain is a network. It's a little internet of its own. 😀

Steemit.com (the website) is a website user inferface built using Condenser. Golos also uses Condenser for Golos, which is a Steem blockchain clone. More about Golos here.
https://steemit.com/howto/@yuriks2000/how-to-register-on-golos-io-for-dummies-easy-and-comprehensive-guide

Steem blockchain protocol and condenser are both open source. You can get condender here:
https://github.com/steemit/condenser

Condenser can be run on the open internet (on a server) or run locally on your own computer local server.

You do not have to use Steemit.com to interact with Steem blockchain. You can also access the blockchain using things like Vessel.
https://github.com/aaroncox/vessel

Steemit Inc installed Condenser on their Servers in NY and it's accessible on the public internet.

An upgraded version of Condenser is #sugarsteem

Steemit Inc. (the company) are the only people who can upgrade Steemit.com installation of Condenser (the present website front end of Steemit.com)

Wow. Thank you so much @omitaylor for a super detailed reply. Took me some time to grab everything. As far as I could understand, Condenser is the Front-End UI of Steemit Inc. I know they do not make changes in it quickly but that's okay. Now there are 100 other dedicated apps to perform various functions. I think Steemit Inc. focuses more on making STEEM blockchain more powerful. Or maybe they are working on something big and suddenly change everything.

I can see there are many contributions made to make condenser more user-friendly but most of them are not implemented. Steemit Inc. needs to push it very hard because majority of of STEEM's success depends on them. Thanks for this great and interesting information :)
