Components
OpenL is a great open-source translation app, that allow users translate from one language to another, this application is available for download on Fdroid. This suggestion should be implemented in the translation box section of the application.
Proposal
OpenL enable easy translation of words, using different languages. I suggest that handwriting and snap to translate features should be added to OpenL.
The handwriting feature should be writing directly by drawing to translate from one language to another. The snap to translate feature, this should enable users get translate of text written on image to another language.
Mockups / Examples
Here is where both Handwriting and snap to translate (camera) feature should be located in the application.
The Handwriting and snap to translate features should be located close to the voice translate and copy translation section, under the translation box.
Here is how the handwriting feature should look like, after clicking on the handwriting translate button.
This will lead to where users can write by drawing to get easy translation of words, as shown in the video above, after writing quick translation takes place, whereby the undo, clear and space button is available for easy drawing. Also suggested words comes up under the translation box.
Here is how the snap to translate feature should look like, immediately after clicking on the camera button.

This feature as shown above, immediately after clicking on the camera button, it will lead to the camera section, where users can snap and get translate of text on the image.
Benefits
The handwriting feature, this will make better composition of writing, users will be able to draw a text when they can not type it using their keyboards, without having to search for the language keys to type the word, they would just draw the word and get easy translation.
The snap to translate feature, this will enable users get translate of text written on image, it can be used even when traveling to get quick translation of street names, and texts written in other languages. Users will not have to type all words again, they will just snap and get translation. This will enable easy reading of instructions and manuals, books, menus and recipes in other languages.
