I am Planning to Become a Moderator under Translation Category | Utopian Open Source

in #utopian-io7 years ago (edited)

Utopian-io is fast growing and is helping a lot of Steemians today. I am extremely happy that Utopian came for a lot of my friends's lives changed for the better.

Dear @elear,

I would like to apply as one of the moderators under Translation Category.

I am Mike Kenly Tungal, a college student in the Philippines. I have been contributing to Utopian-io since last year and now focusing on translations lately. When I read your post this morning, I am in tremendous excitement to write this post to apply as one of your moderators.

I am currently taking BS Mechanical Engineering and I am now in my final year. I have a formal background in English and Filipino Languages for I have taken these subjects throughout my years:

  • English 1 - Study and Thinking Skills
  • English 1R - Remedial English
  • English 2 - Writing in the Discipline
  • English 3 - Technical Communication
  • English 6 - Technical Writing
  • Filipino 1D - Komunikasyon sa Academikong Filipino
  • Filipino 2D - Pagbasa at Pagsulat tungo sa Pananaliksik
  • Filipino 3D - Masining na Pagpapahayag

Those are my foundations plus I am a Filipino, fluent in English and Filipino language, to become a moderator for English to Filipino/Tagalog Translations.

My intention of becoming a moderator is that I want to contribute and share all the knowledge I have gained, not just in Translations, but in the Utopian-io in general. If I had the chance to be part of the team, these are the things that I would like to do:

  • The formality of the contribution's post, I learned this throughout my journey with @toffer. I shall check the blog's formality first if it is well presented and understood at the very first seconds of review.
  • I shall deal almost in every translated words.
  • I shall follow strictly what is written under the Terms before making a contribution.
  • I shall play the game in fairness. I have a lot of friends making a contribution lately, if it's not acceptable; then it won't.

Those are just the few things that came to my mind today while writing this post. My field in expertise is on English to Filipino/Tagalog Translations. The Filipino and Tagalog languages are just the same in language.

I would love the opportunity if this will be given to me and will do my very own best in moderating the contributions that has assigned.

I am extremely excited to work with you, if I may, in the future!

For supervisor, I am nominating @arie.steem.

And also, I am flexible too to be assigned anywhere in different categories for I am a determined and bright person.

Thank you so much for reading.
