More Features to Wordpress Steemit Plugin - GK Steemit Info 0.6.0

Today's update includes more functionality into the GK Steemit Info wordpress plugin with version 0.6.0, with the addition of new types of widgets to show the user's votes easily on the site, along with other minor additions.

The plugin aims to be a simple tool to easily plug steem blockchain based info into any wordpress site, and bring more visibility to steem/steemit.

Quick Recap

Up to the latest version, 0.5.0, the plugin provided a multitude of widgets (& shortcodes) that can be easily drag/dropped into any wordpress solution, but also as of the latest update allowed a backend functionality as follows:

• Creating steemit user accounts from backend (0.5.0)
• Display general steem(it) info, such as steem user count, STEEM/USD, SBD/USD, SBD & STEEM current supply.
• Display user(s) account info, such as account name, image, location, SP, delegated SP, STEEM, account value,...
• Listing of user posts with filtering options
• Listing of trending posts with filtering options

New Development Work

With version 0.6.0, we added the following functionalities:

• Adding new widget/shortcode to display specific user's voted posts. We created a new widget called Steemit User Voted Posts which will handle the display of which posts/comments were upvoted by a specific user. You have the capability to easily drag and drop this new widget into wordpress site, and hence configure what account to use, and the max number of posts to display, as seen below.
  

  
  
  The effect of adding this widget will present on the front end the voted posts, with permalink to each post, the author of the post, as well as the percentage of vote each post received. Check below as sample output
  
  
  You can also alternatively use a shortcode to display this info on a particular page or via code [steemit_user_voted_posts username=USERNAME limit=LIMIT]

• Adding follower and following count under steemit user info widget. The front end now allows display of two additional pieces of info: number of followers, and how many the account is following.
