More Features to Wordpress Steemit Plugin - GK Steemit Info 0.4.0
Today we bring you another update to GK Steemit Info wordpress plugin, with version 0.4.0. The plugin aims to be a great tool to easily plug steem bloch chain based info into any wordpress site, and bring more visibility to steem/steemit.

In the prior version 0.3.0, the plugin hosted 3 types of widgets which allowed easy drag and drop into any wordpress soltuion of: general steemit info, specific user(s) info, as well as listing of user posts into any wordpress solution with a multitude of configurable and filtering options.
Shortcodes for those options are also part of the plugin.
New Development Work
In version 0.4.0, we added the following functionalities:
- New widget entitled Steemit Trending Posts to allow easy view and embedding of trending posts. Out of the box, the widget will display the 10 top trending posts on steemit (I personally always like to stay up-to-date with what's trending on steemit, and hence one of the reasons I created this). But also, the widget / shortcode provide optional tag filtering, whereby you can filter content by specific tag, but also adjust post count limit to anywhere up to 100 posts.

- Additional information for STEEM/SBD pricing including 24h and 7d change indicator for steemit info widget
- New real-time balance calculation for account balance to single user info widget, which can provide a more accurate value than the info provided by steemit API for the wallet (7 day avg)
- Improved formatting for post info (upvotes/payment)

Nice work McFarhat. I was trying to use a different plugin that posts from WP to Steemit. I enabled it, but it wouldn't function at all. My host provider may not allow such plugins. I'll eventually have to check that, but I know Wealthy Affiliate hosting is very stringent on what plugins they allow for security purposes.
