Intro

After the recent 0.5.0 update to our Steemit Wordpress Plugin GK Steemit Info, we present a relevant update to the documentation of the plugin to further reflect the work that has been done recently, particularly in terms of the steemit user creation from within the backend wordpress administration via a new GK Steemit Info menu item, along with few other minor enhancements.

GK Steemit Info plugin serves to allow wordpress sites to embed steemit related information and posts via widgets and/or shortcodes, but also now to allow steemit users creation via delegation. This is accomplished via connecting to the steemjs API and pulling/sending the needed info, as well as coinmarketcap for pricing info. The growth potential for this plugin is limitless and there are tons of ideas for future work. The plugin aims to serve as great promotional tool for steemit, to hopefully lead to large adoption, of wordpress users and/or website visitors, to join and use steemit.

Documentation Updates

As highlighted in the into, with release 0.5.0 there was a major new functionality created along with some other minor enhancements, as follows:

• Adding new backend menu item GK Steemit Info to allow instantaneous steemit user creation via SP delegation.
• Adding color indicators for SBD & STEEM price modifications across 1h, 24h, and 7d
• Refactoring coinmarketcap code into single function
• Changing coinmarketcap reference to smaller text to become less intrusive
