New Logo suggestion for the open source android game LICHESS, using adobe illustrator cc

Lichess is an open source free and online chess game. I created a logo for this game, using adobe illustrator cc 2017.

i took some screenshots while working to show the working process.
At first i designed a chess horse..... I used pen tool to draw the whole horse. For a few shapes i had to use the shape builder tool to keep the edge line right at the point.

After drawing the whole horse i drew a long rectangle and put a color gradient in it. Then i expanded the shape in 5 specified steps to separate different shades of color.

Then I used a midtone from the colors and used it on the whole horse sketch

Then i put the darker tones and the lighter tones separately to make it look good.

After i was done shading this horse I colored another horse with a much lighter and brighter color...

Then i started designing the board. I simple took a rectangle and used pen tool and shape builder tool to separate them into different colors

After that i put those two horse on the board and added two darker circle beneath them to add shadow. i had reduce the opacity to 22% to give it better look.


Then i wrote the game name and gave them the opposite colors depending on which side of the board they are...
The letter h got in the middle so i divided it in two and added color in them

So this is the whole process of how the logo was made.
I have uploaded the source file which is in .ai format. you can download the file and open it using adobe illustrator any version. you can download the file from the link below. it is uploaded in google drive..........
