My Steemit Friends Update: New Options added to Power Down Ranking Table
New Features
Some new features have been added to the Power Down ranking table on My Steemit Friends, which you can access here. http://mysteemitfriends.online/powerdown.php
You can see on the left hand side of the page, there is now an "Options" box, which allows you to select between two options - whether to only include users who are Powering Down, or to include all users.
If you cohose to include "All Users" then click "Refresh", you will see the table change significantly.
Here are the three changes to the table:
- Users who are currently powering down will be highlighted in Red.
- Users will be ordered by how much SP they currently have in their account.
- For users who are not powering down, they will have a blue background, with a SP Withdrawl amount = 0 and all the Date fields equal to N/A (not applicable).
You can use the "Select Page Number" box under both "All Users" and "Powering Down Users" modes to go to new pages in that mode.
- How did you implement it/them?
In powerdown.php, I created a radio button form to collect input from the user as to whether they want all users included in the ranking, or if they just want the users who are powering down included in the ranking. I then used PHP to retrieve this input and then use an IF statement to alter the SQL query according to what the user has chosen. I used an IF statement in PHP to do the highlighting in red for users who are powering down, and to display NA if user is not powering down.
I also used PHP to modify the links for browsing to different pages to make sure they work under both modes.
