Project Details
With the project steeminvite.com by Steem User and Witness pharesim it is possible to bring new users to the Steemit platform. It is very easy to claim an account and then send it via an invitation link to a friend, who can then easily and quickly create an account. It is possible to either pay 3 STEEM for an account or if you have enough RC Mana, then you can claim free accounts and then invite new people. My motivation to translate the project into the German language was that I believe in the Steemit community, that it has to grow and that it is very easy to give new users the possibility to register quickly and easily. The added value is that it makes it easier for German-speaking users to find their way around the site and understand the process of creating an account.

Translation Overview
The purpose of my translation of the Open Source project steeminvite into the German language is to advance the development of the site and to make navigating the site easier and more understandable for German-speaking users. In my work I have worked on different parts of the project. Most of the work was to create a de.json file out of the en.json file and translate all used text strings into the german language. On my local test environment I checked and tested all created translations. All the work can be viewed in the pull request:

The source language of the project is English and I translated the whole project into German. So far I was allowed to work on projects like the Scorum website in German but also translated several blog posts for the official Scorum account at scorum.comWord Count
613 words translated so far and this are round about 4,135 characters

I really enjoyed translating the project. In the future I will continue to work on the translation of the project as the project is continuously developed and in some places that are not yet finished translations are needed.

I believe this is your first contribution since you started translating via DaVinci, and for us this project is new, which is always a great thing to begin with. I was asked to perform the task of proofreading this work, but it will be temporary, as a new LM should be starting soon for the German language. I had to get 'back into it' with the language, so it took me a little longer than usual with my language, but it was fun to see that I still 'have it'. Maybe as an outsider, who learned the language at a later age and not from birth, it is easier to find mistakes. However, I found none, only a few sentences where another word sounded better. Nothing major though that would have changed the meaning of the sentence.
It was fun to do and hopefully we'll see a lot more of this project in the future.
