Hello everyone! Let's start with the basics, as we always do:

Project Details

As mentioned in my previous contributions, I have been on a new Steemit mission since @utopian-io & @davinci.witness launched the Translations Category, giving us the chance to offer our services and provide quality translations for various Open Source projects. Having successfully completed the translation of the files of FreeCAD and Swarmops into Greek, I thought it was time to move on to my next project. Steeminvite it is, and in case you didn't know, this is a wonderful platform where users can create invite links, aiming to help Steemians spread the word about our favourite blockchain.

On https://steeminvite.com you can create invite links, which are either sent by email or displayed in the app for you to give them out in another way. After the recipient has chosen a username and a password, you will be able to create the account with delegation. No more waiting for steemit to activate new accounts!

This is just a reminder of the importance of all Open Source communities in a hectic world of scientific development and suppression of information:

Open Source means true freedom; there are no limitations. And even though this is not news to many of you, it is worth noting that what makes Steeminvite such an effective and useful tool is the fact that it is an Open Source project. This is what enables bright minds from all over the world to contribute to the development of Steeminvite in the first place, making it possible to constantly improve all aspects of the software. Suppression of information can slow our civilization's progress down, that's why Open Source projects are a technological blessing of our times.

And this is where you can find more information about Steeminvite:

For more information regarding this wonderful Open Source project you can visit the project's Official Website. If you are interested in contributing to the development of Steeminvite, here's where you can open a pull request. If there's any specific kind of information you'd like to read about this project, please leave your requests in the comments below and I will undoubtedly do my best to provide all information necessary promptly.

I'm glad I was given the opportunity to offer my services and therefore I will continue to work hard and do my best.

Contribution Specifications

  • Translation Overview

This is the first part of this task, and since the translation of this project's strings into Greek was completed within one part, I guess it's fair to say that we will have to wait for any further development in order to keep working on this project. This basically means that the second part isn't coming out any time soon, and therefore, I will have to start working on my next project within the next few days. However, I must admit that I have a lot of respect for this project, and thus I will certainly keep an eye on it, and even offer my services if needed in the future.

It is worth noting that I also translated a few newly added strings of the Swarmops project, as I was notified that I had to a few days ago. Those were 330 words in 4 different files, and since the amount of work that had to be done wasn't enough for the submission of a contribution to the translations category, I thought I would include those words in the current contribution's word count. My translation regarding both projects is now 100% complete and subject to @dimitrisp's proof-reading.

  • Languages

The current project was translated from English into Greek.

  • In This Session

I must admit that I had great fun translating Steeminvite into Greek. The en.json file consists of 1,154 words, and even though there were instances where the utilization of technical terms induced the need for research, this was still a couple of good days at the office. The file's strings are well-written and comprehensive, and this is what makes this a relatively easy job. A fun experience. I'd do it again.

Sure!

Here's a little taste of the strings that were translated in this session:

To create a steem account, you first need to claim a token. These can be obtained by burning a certain amount of STEEM, or spending a big amount of RC mana. In return, the new account receives a minimal amount of RC mana to transact on the blockchain without owning Steem Power.

This string provides the user with valuable information regarding the account creation process.

A new account only has a basic amount of RC to transact on the blockchain. If you want the new user to be able to do more, delegate some Steem Power. You can also do that later of course.

Another string that contains technical information regarding the limitations of newly created Steem accounts. Greek translation: Ένας νέος λογαριασμός διαθέτει μόνο μια βασική ποσότητα RC για την εκτέλεση συναλλαγών στο blockchain. Αν επιθυμείτε να μπορεί να εκτελέσει περισσότερες ενέργειες ο νέος χρήστης, πραγματοποιήστε ανάθεση ενός ποσού Steem Power. Αυτό είναι κάτι που μπορείτε να κάνετε και αργότερα, φυσικά.

Hope you enjoyed this mini sample. As mentioned above, the strings included in the en.json file are clear and comprehensive.

It is more than obvious that this was a relatively easy endeavor. Nevertheless, as you can see in this mini sample I shared with you, the utilization of technical terms induces the need for research in various cases. It is fortunate that the project's strings are well-written; a fact that, in combination with the availability of context for most of those strings, makes this task easier than it may seem at first sight. In conclusion, this was a couple of good days at the office. I certainly enjoyed working on this project, and hope steeminvite users will be satisfied with my work.

  • Word Count

According to Crowdin, in this part I translated 1,428 words (1,484 as demonstrated on Crowdin, minus approximately 4% of those as untranslated words). Please do keep in mind that Steeminvite consists of only 1,154 words; the rest were included in the files of Swarmops.

This is your 1st contribution on Steeminvite, your 33rd contribution in the Translations category and the 5th contribution I proofread for you!

You really did a great job in this session, no mistakes were found and your language really fits the purpose of the project. This goes for both Steeminvite and the extra Swarmops words that were added recently (after you previously finished the translation).

I'm proud of being a part of the same team with you, and I really hope to see more (and even greater, if that's possible) translations like this from you!
